| Another client of RHK who procured and communicated the early stages of the project from overseas. Dubai Developments and Investment Authority wanted their office to reflect some Middle Eastern elements mixed with traditional Oriental Design. Introducing arched display areas with travertine floors, set plaster ceilings and a curved reception desk located in a large waiting area, RHK were able to convey the Middle Eastern theme through the welcoming area. In the back of house area we selected furniture and colors typical of the Ming Dynasty Era mixing to create a nice synergy between the two cultures. Construction took longer than normal due to the very high specification of finishes and long lead times on imported furniture. Our client was very happy with the end product and was impressed with the way in which the project was handled from overseas. |
